The children’s drawing that represents Alberto Carlos Bustos could be a sort of superhero who has flown over all the skies of lyricism and merriment, but also a simple, humble subject, almost an antihero with traits that go from error to short circuit. Made by me at the age of 7 , I look at it carefully: do the strokes seek to complete something, to give form in the midst of chaos? It could be, after all that is one of the fundamental premises of any superhero.
We suppose that if we invite him to participate in our film and make him descend to Planet Earth, he will be delighted to represent the municipality and the bird proposed by Miguel Ángel Solá. He is obsessed with urban paving. The municipal task provides an extensive account of the author’s wonderful work, which you can view on the blog. There is intense laughter, bittersweet tragedies, and poetic nonsense that surpasses surrealism. His other obsessions are words and love, and from there, we embark on an odyssey through this film.
Words. That’s how we start, the author mentions them, I give them shape. Paz, Martín and Florencia are good traveling companions and in this boat, among the five of us, we try to pay homage to the Seventh Art. We are telling a love story through the most sacred of Poetry. It is born with the words, which in the voice of the interpreter are music, an emotional ballad, deep, faithful also to its origin of sentimental or romantic theme, to its melancholic atmosphere, to its bittersweet epic, to its denouement… open? And why is it infinite? Because it has just begun.
